William L. Huskey , an Army veteran of World War II and a resident of East Ridge, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 77. Mr. Huskey was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, where he was a member of the Spring Creek Road Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran serving in World War II, where he served in the Air Corp in England. Mr. Huskey was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 175 for 53 years and was a member of the Highland Park Masonic Lodge 734 F&AM, the Alhambra Temple and a lifetime member of the Clown Unit. Survivors include his wife, Clarine Sharp Huskey ; daughter, Connie Bradshaw, East Ridge; a son, Kenneth L. Huskey , East Ridge; six sisters, Helen Davis, East Ridge, Vivian Epperson and Cora Mae Frisbee, both of Fort Oglethorpe, Pauline Coates and Ethel Howell, both of Dalton, Ga, and Agnes Brownlee, Calhoun, Ga; three brothers, Earl and Billy Huskey , East Ridge, and Raymond Huskey , Atlanta; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. David Clay and the Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
