BROWN, OLIVER L. - age 75, of Knoxville, passed away at his home Wednesday, May 16, 2001. He was a member of Ball Camp Baptist Church and was a World War II Veteran. He is preceded in death by parents, Olaf Henry ad Edna Mary Brown; brother, W. C. Brown.
He is survived by wife, Blanche Brown; son, Robert and wife, Cassey Hamerick; daughters, Annette and husband Robert Miller, and Betty Price; grandchildren, Eric Hamerick, Angela and Amy Miller, and Kevin Neely; brothers, Edward Brown of Kingston; sisters, Wilma Shipley, Alice Ruth Shipley, Shirley Ivester, and Mary Luttrell; many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all employees of Careplus for home care and all the family members for their assistance in their care giving. Funeral services will be Friday, 8 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Sunday-Winters officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday 10:45 a.m. at New Gray Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be Glenn McCarter, Roy Wright, Allen Underwood, John Pierce, Ken Miller, and Wendell Tate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave., 588-3868.
