EASTERDAY, PEARL MARIE - age 90, passed away Friday, June 10, 2005 after a lengthy illness at her home. Beloved mother of 9 children. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years at West Lonsdale Baptist Church. The word of God was her greatest joy which she passed on to her family and friends through her dedication in teaching. She was an Avon Representative for over 50 years receiving many acknowledgments and honors from the company for her dedication. She served in the Eastern Star as a member and past Matron of Knoxville #69 OES, as well as a member of Past Matrons and Past Patrons middle East Tennessee. Associated with the Knox Department Store on Gay Street for several years. Wife of the late, J. Chattman Easterday. Preceded in death by daughter, Ruth Willayne Towe sons, Lawrence Chattman (Larry) Easterday and Charles Leland (Chuck) Easterday, Sr. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Helen Jewell Slover of Loganville, GA, Dorothy Marie Lee of Charlotte, NC, Frances Lynn and Kenneth Robinson, Carolyn Sue and Jerry McMurry all of Knoxville, and Donna Beatrice Hyatt of Grayson, GA son and daughter-in-law, Roger Jerry and Barbara Easterday of Knoxville grandchildren, Jack Slover, Regina Baldwin, Denise Hardcastle, Scott Lee, Angela Scott, Kathy Dunning, Greg McMurry, Roger Easterday, Timothy Easterday, Baron Hyatt, III, Kelly Timmons, Charles Easterday, Jr., Kristie Easterday, Todd Easterday, Chadd Easterday, and Chattman Easterday 21 great grandchildren. The family wants to express their gratitude for the St. Mary's Hospice in Halls for their excellent guidance and advice. Also our gratitude to the faithful, loving care givers, Stella Henry, Wilda Brewer, Pat Cochran, Brenda Wells, and Michelle Krug for their dedication to our mother's comfort as she went to be with her Saviour. The family will receive friends 1-2:30 pm Sunday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 2:30 PM. Reverends Troy Cody, Bruce Robinson, and Terry Tulley officiating. The burial will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home.
