OWNBY, ADIS RUTH MYERS - 90 of Pigeon Forge passed away Wed. Feb. 9, 2000 at Ft. Sanders Sevier Medical Center. Mrs. Ownby was one of the oldest members of the First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge. Adis was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Mary McCeldry Myers; daughter, Shirley Jean Ownby; brothers, Fred and Houston Myers; sister, Jeanette McFall.
She is survived by her husband, Osie Ownby of Pigeon Forge; sons and daughter in law, James Donald and Charlotte Ownby of Stillwater, Okla.; daughter, Mary Jane Ownby of Sevierville; granddaughters, Holly Ownby of Dallas, Texas and Mary Ownby of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers and sisters in law, Frank and Ruth Myers of Sevierville, J.P. and Eva Myers of Pigeon Forge, Harold and Joyce Myers of Walland, Tenn. , Max and Geneva Myers of Sevierville; sisters, Dorothy McCarter of Pigeon Forge and Blanche Parrott of Maryville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be
10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery with Dr. William W. Cope, Rev. Wayne Cook and Paul Clinton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. Friday Feb. 11 at Rawlings Funeral Home.
