September 15 , 1941 - September 25, 2015
Having lived a life full of passion , Judith Huskey born Sept. 15 , 1941 in Peru , Ind., to Robert and Carroll Babcoke died peacefully on Sept. 25, 2015. She was surrounded with love by her family. Judy loved travel, gardening, music, wildlife, sports and her Porsche. During March Madness or any Tennis Open she was consumed with unbridled enthusiasm for her favorite player or team.
She had a deep compassion for animals in need, and was exhilarated when her care and love would return them to a full life . She loved French culture and was an avid reader of world news and current events. Judy's career included roles in the medical field, and most recently retirement from civil service at Grissom Air Force base.
Judy is survived by her beloved husband Leon Huskey of 28 years. A devoted mother to Lee and spouse Angie Fisher, Lin and spouse Gabriella Fisher, Kim and spouse Steve Johnson, Julie Schreiber, Robert and spouse Kim Schreiber, Chad Schreiber, Diann Schreiber and spouse Mersadies Devlin, and Brad Schreiber. Her stepdaughters Beth and spouse Don McClurg and Cyndi and spouse Joe Sims.
She's also survived by grandchildren Nick Meeks, Erik Schreiber, Mryanda Mays, Jake Johnson, Chase Cromptom, Lindsey Sims, Tayler Fisher, Jared Fisher, Haydn Fisher, Matthew Schreiber, Madoc Fisher, Taylor Schreiber, Lavender Fisher, and Dakota McClurg. With a soon to be born great grandchild that we expect to have her zest for life.
The viewing will be at Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 28 from 4-8 pm, funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 29th at 10:30 am, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home. All are welcome to a reception lunch at the Salvation Army following the Committal Service.
In lieu of flowers please make donations through the funeral home to Songbirds of Northern Indiana in Plymouth, Ind, or the Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tenn. The family would like to thank all in the community who have provided their unending love, prayers and support.
