Mrs. Annabel Cardwell, age 73 of Johnson City, died Monday, July 7, 2003 at Johnson City Medical Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Jefferson County, TN and was a daughter of the late Oliver and Eva Whaley Huskey. Mrs. Cardwell was a graduate of Berea Colley in Kentucky and was a retired teacher from the Washington County school system, where she taught at Asbury School for many years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Cardwell was a longtime member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church in Johnson City.

Funeral service 7 PM Friday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel in Pigeon Forge. Entombment will be in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hills Creek Baptist Church, 156 Hills Creek Road, Sevierville, TN 37876.
