Thomas Ray Hoosier, 41, of Glen Fork, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at his residence.
Born July 1, 1967, at Man, he was the son of Phyllis Parton Hoosier of Glen Fork and the late Thomas Hoosier.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Leah Braswell Hoosier; a sister, Henrietta Mullens; and a brother, Thomas Junior Hoosier.
Survivors include his mother, Phyllis Hoosier of Glen Fork; his wife, Regina Wright Hoosier of Valdese, N.C.; three daughters, Megan Hoosier, Kaylie Hoosier, and Stacy Hoosier of Glen Fork; stepdaughter, Sabrina Wright of Oceana; future son-in-law, Michael Brooks of Glen Fork; three brothers, Billy Hoosier and his wife, Hannah, of McGraws, Bobby Hoosier and his wife, Rebecca, of Glen Fork, and Joseph Hoosier of Glen Fork; seven sisters, Alice Brown and her husband, Johnny, of Valdese, N.C., Yvonne McGraw and her husband, Kenneth, of McGraws, Sandra Stewart and her husband, Bill, of Valdese, N.C., Brenda Morris and her husband, Nelson, of Morganton, N.C., Irene Clemins and her husband, Jackie, of Connelly Springs, N.C., Heather Sizemore of Glen Fork, and Beth Hoosier and her husband, David Shumate Jr., of Oceana; and a special nephew, Michael Hoosier of Glen Fork.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 24, 2008, at Evans Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Herman Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
