She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Banks; and a daughter, Lois Newman; and five brothers and sisters. She was survived by children, Anne Banks Gentry Fannin, John Banks and wife Belle, Dail Banks and wife Joyce; grandchildren, Mike Newman, Leanne Newman Carpenter, Angela Gentry Nutt, Adam Newman, Alesha and Aaron Graves, and Eric Williams; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Chloe Johnson and Carolyn Strunk; brother, Rev. John Holland and wife Pat; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Jefferson City Health and Rehab and Smoky Mountain Hospice for their loving care. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Province officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
