He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Korean War Veteran. Preceded in death by: parents, James E. and Anna Mae Holland; brothers, James, Lloyd, Dail Holland; Sister Wanda Gelhar. Suvivors: wife, Argel Holland; daughter Linda Holland, Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, George and Ruby Holland, Corryton, Donald and Joyce Holland of Knoxville; granddaughter, Emily Holland; sisters, Chloe Johnson, Elkin, NC, Dora Dean Banks, Jefferson City, Carolyn Strunk, Louisville, KY; brother, John Holland of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 12 noon Wednesday at Stevens Chapel, Rev. Clyde Lankin officiating. Interment to follow at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
