Bill was also an ordained deacon of Dallas Baptist Church of Daisy, TN on June 6, 1971. He was a member of Daisy Masonic Lodge #706 in Soddy Daisy, TN was initiated- October 8, 1971 passed- November 6, 1971 and raised a master mason – December 4, 1971, Eastern Star #137, Knoxville Scottish Rites, Alhambra Shriners of Chattanooga, TN, Legion of Honor Kerbela Shriners of Knoxville, TN, Shriners Burns Hospital Cincinnati Roadrunners Club, Past Master at Mountain Star Lodge # 197 in Sevierville, TN, President District 20 Masonic Officers, Sheet Metal Union Local #5, and Special Deputy of Sevier County Sheriff's Department in Sevierville, TN.
Bill built his life around his wife, children, grandchildren, and especially his great-grandchildren. He made sure that any child, in or out of the community, whether he knew them or not, wasn't left out, either by coaching or transporting them to events that they might not of otherwise been able to attend, or just by handing out shoes at the Scottish Rites. Children were a big part of his life and his list of contributions to them and the community goes on and on. His life brought so much joy and laughter to many, many people. You couldn't help but smile when you were in his presence. Anyone that knew him or had him in their life was very blessed. He made the world a better place just because he was in it. We will carry his honor and spirit with us in our hearts and his memory will not fade from us. We couldn't have asked for a better husband, dad, pawp, papaw, brother, or friend. He will be greatly missed but we will see him again.
