Nona Ridenour Agee age 86 of Newport passed away Saturday April 16, 2011. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and had attended regularly until illness prevented her from attending. A retired RN she had worked at Valentine & Shults Clinic in Newport from the time she graduated Fort Sanders Nursing School until illness forced her to retire in 1980. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar G. and Bessie Lee Ridenour, sister Opal Houchin, brother William (Bill) Ridenour. She is survived by her husband William M. (Bill) Agee of Newport, son Jim Agee and wife Teri of Morristown, daughter Ella Ford and husband Gary of Newport, grandchildren Molly Katherine Ford and Joshua Moore, great grandchildren Brylee and Bradyn Moore, sisters in law Ima Jean Ridenour of Lake City, Katherine S. Smith of Newport, also nieces , nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday April 19, 2011 prior to the funeral services. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Providence Baptist Church , P O Box 881 , Newport, Tn 37822.
