Glenmore Stooksbury, age 84 of Powell passed away Monday, March 29, 2010. He was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church and a U.S. Army-Air Force Veteran of WWII. He worked as a Special Agent for Southern Railway and retired after 27 years of service. Preceded in death by wife, Marie Stooksbury; step-son, Mark Arnold; parents, William Henry and Ursula Stooksbury; sisters, Estelle Witt and Mary Kate Allen; brothers, Hobart H. Stooksbury, Edward Stooksbury, Grady T. Stooksbury and Lester G. Stooksbury. Survivors include: wife, Mildred Stooksbury; son, Stanley Stooksbury; daughter, Bobbie Bradford; step-daughter, Donna (Barry) Thomas; granddaughter, Catherine (Bobby) Lunsford ; step-grandsons, Clayton and Drew Thomas; great-granddaughters, Trulena Hensley & Tiffany Lunsford; great-great grandsons, Logan and Bradley Hensley; sister, Rowena Brown and several nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends will meet Saturday at 10:45 am in Bookwalter Cemetery for graveside services at 11:00 am with Rev. Perry Austin officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Glenwood Baptist Church, 7212 Central Avenue Pike, Powell, TN 37849. Family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home- Halls Chapel.
