RIDENOUR, J. CARSON, SR., - age 93, of Clinton, passed away Monday, March 4, 2002 at the Windwood Health Care Center in Clinton. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton; former baseball, basketball & football coach in Anderson & Campbell Counties & at Stair Technical Institute in Knoxville, now Fulton High School; former minority leader in Tennessee State Legislature. He was a 32nd degree mason in Oliver Springs; member of Omega Masonic Lodge #536, & a Knoxville Shriner. He was founder of Ridenour & Ridenour Law Firm, now known as Ridenour & Ridenour & Fox Law Firm. Mr. Ridenour was born September 13, 1908 in Newcomb, TN in Campbell County to Lewis & Elphia Lane Ridenour. Survivors: wife, Alice Dockery Ridenour of Clinton; daughters, Jacqueline S. Fagan of Crystal River, FL, Victoria L. Csurny & husband John of Clinton, Sherrie G. Ridenour of Knoxville; sons, James C. Ridenour & wife Susan of Lexington, KY, Ron Ridenour & wife Linda of Clinton; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Ridenour of Sweetwater. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. A private service will be held by the family. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association, 2200 Southerland Avenue, Portland Building, Suite H-102, Knoxville, TN 37919. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
