SEIBER, RUFUS - age 83 of Andersonville peacefully passed into Heaven early January 28, 2007 meeting his devoted wife of 58 years, Callie, who preceded him into Glory a year earlier. Rufus was born in Highsplint, Kentucky to Ben and Sarah Phillips Seiber on February 6, 1923. Rufus proudly served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Rufus was a godly man serving Christ and taking care of his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Rufus served as a deacon and was an active member of Norris First Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who shared his love of life with all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Callie Mae Seiber, he was preceded to Glory by: his son, Benjamin Eugene Seiber; parents, Ben and Sarah Seiber; brother, Charlie Seiber; sister-in-law, Dorothy Keeton; brother-in-law, Mayo Ridenour; mother and father-in-law, Harrison and Goldie Ridenour. He is survived by: daughters, Wanda & husband John Goodpaster of Carlisle, OH, Wannetta Seiber of Andersonville, Patty & husband Frank Bouton of Andersonville; son, David & wife Missy Seiber of Andersonville; grandchildren, Mark & wife Rhonda Goodpaster, Amy & husband Tom Morgan, Jeremy & wife Jessica Seiber, Megan Seiber, Zac Seiber, Kallie Bouton; great grandchildren, Andrew, Adam, and Abby Goodpaster, Grace and Rachel Morgan, Daniel Seiber; brothers, Robert & wife Charlene Seiber of Andersonville, Doylas & wife Pat Seiber of New River; sisters, Ruth & husband Ken Bailey of New River, Rose & husband Calvin Adams of Dayton, OH, Pearl & husband Brad Richardson of Clinton; brothers-in-law, Henry Ridenour, Jim & wife Uvonnia Ridenour, Ben & wife Sandy Ridenour, Bishop & wife Betty Ridenour and Larry & wife Brenda Ridenour; sisters-in-law, Lois Lawson, Georgia Conley, Iva Ray Keeton, and Mary Jo Hatmaker; a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 pm, Monday, January 29, 2007 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. David Seiber officiating. His burial will be 10:30 am, Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors at graveside. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
