HUNLEY, LONAS C. - age 76, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center. A Knox County native, Mr. Hunley retired as a Supervisor and District Manager from Waffle House. A member of City View Baptist Church, he is preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Surviving is his wife, Sara R. Hunley; two sons, Joe L. Wyatt, Jr. of Knoxville, and Charles Avon Hunley of Kingsport; two sisters, Iva Brooks and Eva Newberry, both of Knoxville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Hunley is at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at the main entrance to Highland Memorial Cemetery for a 12 Noon graveside service, conducted by Rev. Julie Collins. Arrangements are in the care of Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, 588-0567.
