Rev. John Edward Brown went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, December 29th, 2008. He was welcomed with open arms by his family that has already gone on: The love of his life, his wife Nellive Brown; parents, Rev. Alonzo and Nannie (Parker) Brown, brothers, Joseph, Kenneth, Jerry and George Brown; sisters, Ailene Saylor and Ruby Phillips, mother-in-law- Eula McMahan Moss. John was a member of Old Time Gospel Baptist Church where he dearly loved his church family. John was retired from Quaker Oats after 28 years of service.
Family left to morn his leaving are: son Ricky Lynn and wife Reba Brown, grandchildren, Joey Lynn and wife Keila Brown and Adraine Janelle Brown, great grandchildren, Jonathan and Serenity “Princess” Brown and one yet to arrive, all of White Pine. Brothers; Harvey (Dianna) Brown and Frank (Mary) Brown, sisters; Jessie (Richard) Ross; Debbie (Donald) Crum and Gail (Danny) Ball. Special great niece Meghan Rafus
John had numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who will sorely miss him. He was a dear friend to many
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 31, beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the Old Time Gospel Church. Funeral Service will be at 8:00 P.M. following the visitation with Rev. Doug Messer and Pastor Glenn Ball officiating.
The family will leave Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at 12:00 noon for Dutch Bottoms Cemetery for burial.
Brown Funeral Home is in charge.
