William Alfred Levering, 86, of 553 Washington av., Glencoe, died Tuesday in Evanston hospital. He retired 30 years ago as a partner in the former stock brokerage firm of Child Levering company. Mr. Levering was former president of the Standard Asphalt and Rubber company, and at the turn of the century was superintendent of water pipe extension for the city of Chicago. He leaves his widow, Edith. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Glencoe Union church.

W. A. LEVERING LEAVES $900,000 IN HIS ESTATE
The will of William Alfred Levering of 553 Washington av., Glencoe, who was 86 when he died Nov. 17, showed his estate was $900,000, Bernard J. Korzen, clerk of Probate court, who received it for probate Thursday, said. After bequests of $5,000 each to six charities, the remainder of the estate was left in trust with the First National Bank of Elgin for his widow, Edith. The charities are Piney Woods Country Life school, Piney Woods, Miss.; Arden Shore camp, Lake Bluff; Orphans of the Storm, Deerfield; and the Children's home, Sherman hospital, and the Old People's home, all of Elgin.
