Wife of William Levering. Descendant of Maj. Benjamin Bosworth, of Rhode Island. Daughter of Alfred Bosworth and Eleanora Wheeler, his wife. Granddaughter of Increase Child Bosworth and Mary Ann Root, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Alfred Bosworth and Olive Child, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Benjamin Bosworth and Mary Church, his second wife. Benjamin Bosworth, (1733-1810), served as major in Col. Nathaniel Martin's regiment of militia, 1775. He contributed to the relief of Boston and paid one-half the indemnity demanded when the British fleet threatened to bombard the town. He was born in Bristol, R. I.; where he died.
