Ruth W. Murrell, age 72 of Sevierville, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville where she was employed as the Financial Secretary for 44 years. Upon retirement she spent much of her time travelling and enjoying outdoor activities with her husband and family.
Mrs. Murrell was preceded in death by her father, Dave Watson; mother, Ella Ogle Watson; sister, Freda Watson Clabough; brothers, John E. and Jim E. Watson.
Survivors include her
Husband: Dale Murrell
Son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Kathy Murrell
Grandchildren: Lisa Gardner, Jeremey Massie and Jacob Murrell
Great-grandson: Jayden Gardner
Great-granddaughter: Annabelle Gardner
Brother and sisters-in-law: David and Betty Watson, Carolyn Watson, Clara Watson Killian
Sister-in-law and husband: Norma and Thurman Cate
Sisters and brothers-in-law: Betty and Bob Williams, Peggy and Charles Jackson, Harold Clabough
Special niece: Brenda Clabough Russell and numerous other nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, Tennessee 37862 or the charity of your choice.
Funeral service 11 AM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hyder officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
