HARRIS, PATSY MITCHINER - age 77, of Knoxville died unexpectedly on Monday June 8, 2009 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Church of the Ascension. She was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Rosie Brown Mitchiner. Patsy is survived by her loving family: daughters and sons-in-law; Patti and Dr. Joe Googe Jr., Julie and David Howard all of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Dave and Allison Harris of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Matthew Googe and wife Ashley, Elizabeth and Harris Googe, Lindsay and Gillian Howard all of Knoxville, Corbett and George Harris of St. Louis, Missouri; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Charlie Bussey of Clemson, South Carolina. A memorial service will be 6:30 P.M. Sunday at the Church of the Ascension with The Reverend Dr. Howard J. Hess officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to: The American Heart Association , East Tennessee Region, 4708 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37909.
