She was born on April 13, 1927 in Maryville, TN to Luther and Nola Clabough. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Hollis L. Compton. Her daughters and son-in-law, Holly Penney of Conyers and Cathy and John Savolt of Loganville. She was “Granny” to her grandchildren, Buddy Hall of Atlanta, Jeff and Tammy Hall of Loganville, Courtney and Drew Wynn of Watkinsville, Jeremey Hall of Atlanta, Kristi Penney of Conyers, and Jason Penney of Conyers. Her 3 great grandchildren: Alexandria and Skyler Hall of Loganville and Ben Hall of Atlanta. Also, her special friend and assistant, Catherine Williams of Madison and many wonderful friends and family. Mrs. Compton was a tender, generous and caring person to all who knew her. She will be forever missed and hold a special place in our hearts. Mrs. Compton’s family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 pm at A.E. Carter Funeral Home in Madison.
