Betty Jean Ramsey McCarter, age 79 of Sevierville, received her ultimate healing and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 16, 2015 at her home with the love of her life holding her hand. She was a member of Walden's Creek United Methodist Church and retired from the Sevier County Court Clerk's office after 41 years of service. She will always be remembered as "That pretty little black headed lady that sold tag renewals". She was the baby of what came to be known as "The 4 beautiful Ramsey Girls from Webbs Creek" and raised in the Pittman Center Community. She was an avid basketball fan, especially for the Lady Vols. Betty was an awesome cook and best known for her chocolate pies.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Myrtle Ramsey, beloved sister, Doris Shultz.

The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Friday with funeral service to follow at 6 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. David Smith and Pastor James Fenoglio officiating.
