TAULBEE GYSPY EMERT - age 89, of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2000 while vacationing in South Carolina. Gypsy was of the Christian faith and attended Roaring Fork Baptist Church in Gatlinburg in years past and more recently Pigeon Forge Christ Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her father, John Redmond Emert; her mother, Mary Jane Bohanan Emert; sisters, Elizabeth Jenkins, Merussia Williams, Pearl Fawver, Carrie Huskey, Kettie Gobble, Hattie Smallwood, Blanche King, Ruby Emert; brother, Freeman Emert.
Survivors: daughters and son-in-law, Geneva and Carl Denton, Otella Goolsby, Brenda and Jerry Ward; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Special appreciation to the Dave Large family. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Oliver Hogue and Rev. Jerry Mann officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Middle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home.

Gypsy Emert Taulbee, 89, of Sevierville died Sunday, July 23, 2000.
She was of the Christian faith and attended Roaring Fork Baptist Church in Gatlinburg, and more recently attended Pigeon Forge Christ Fellowship.
She was preceded in death by eight sisters and one brother.
Her parents were John Redmond Emert and Mary Jane Bohanan Emert.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva and Carl Denton, Otella Goolsby and Brenda and Jerry Ward; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service was 7 p.m. Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Oliver Hogue and the Rev. Jerry Mann officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Middle Creek Cemetery.
