Carl Winford Stoffle, age 94 of Seymour, TN, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 21, 2013, with his loving family by his side. He was a lifelong member of Oak City Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, secretary, and treasurer. He was a highly decorated World War II Army Veteran and a recipient of two purple hearts, and a bronze star. He was an avid UT football and Lady Vol basketball fan, as well as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace McCarter Stoffle, infant son, Terry Wayne, daughter, Wanda Sue (Susie), parents, James and Velma Stoffle, brothers, James Albert and Melvin Stoffle, and sister, Edna Thomas.

Daughters and sons-in-law: Carla Hardin and husband Charles of Sevierville, Billie Jo Trotter and husband Gary of Chattanooga
Sons and daughters-in-law: Larry Stoffle and wife Debbie of Seymour
9 grandchildren and 18 great and great-great grandchildren
Brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank Stoffle and wife Estalee of Seymour, and Raymond Stoffle of Seymour
Several nieces and nephews

Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Chaplain Ronald Russell officiating. Interment 11 AM Wednesday in Boyd's Creek Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 104.
