Dorcas Lorene Boling, age 76, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Geneva Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Geneva, Ohio.
She was born in Sevierville County, Tenn., April 12, 1934 to the late “Blanche” (Shultz) and Walter Wallace. She was happily married to Roscoe for 45 years. She was employed at Charlottes Nursing home for 14 years as an LPN.
Dorcas enjoyed spending one-on-one time with her family and traveling.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Ken) Bean; two sons, Gordon (Jacquelyn) Boling, and Bruce (Renee) Boling; grandchildren, Rhonda McElroy and daughter Kaisle Prentice, Jason (Jen) and Charlie “due in July” Boling, Justin Boling, Lydia Boling, Ross Boling, Andrea Boling, Sophronia Liplin, Crystal Pequignot, Scott Brown, Jeff Brown; 11 great-grandchildren.
Dorcas was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe; a daughter, Elizabeth “Kitten” Boling and a granddaughter, Beth (McElroy) Deis.
The family would like to thank everyone who provided care, support and prayers.
Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Shirley Frantz at the Paine-Guerriero Funeral Home, 3119 West Water Street, Rock Creek, Ohio 44076, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1 p.m. Visitation will take place the same day prior to services 11 a.m. till time of service.
