Elsie Viola Fraley, 67, of the 3100 block of Tyre Neck Road, died Jan. 18, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Kistler, W.Va., and the widow of Menford Coronder Fraley. She is survived by a daughter, Betty L. Fairbanks of Chesapeake; three sons, Dennis R. Fairbanks Sr., Robert S. Fairbanks and John S. Fairbanks Jr. and his wife, Linda, all of Eure, N.C.; six sisters, Rose Aker, Virgie K. Bias, JoAnn Schimmel, Betty Viers, Faye Seymour and Phyliss Hoosier; three brothers, Charles Parton, James Parton and Dennis Parton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Gene V. Primm. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
