Geraldine Jenkins Sprouse, 53, of Hartford, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 4, 2003, at Baptist Hospital Cocke County.
She was a homemaker and a member of Garvers Chapel Baptist Church.
Her father, Jerl Jenkins, and brothers, Glen Jenkins and Rodney Jenkins, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Walter Sprouse, of Hartford; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Schanell Sprouse, of Newport; daughter and son-in-law, Delane and David Styles, of Bybee; mother, Lillie Phillips Jenkins, of Cosby; sisters: Linda Extine and her husband, Jim, of Cosby; and Dorothy Webb and her husband, Robinette, of Hartford; brothers: Hershel Jenkins and his wife, Brenda, of Parrottsville; Richard Jenkins and his wife, Christine, of Cosby; Larry Jenkins and his wife, Teala, of Denton; Ronnie Jenkins and his wife, Jodi, of Cosby; Randy Jenkins and his wife, Angie, of Cosby; and Jimmie Jenkins, of Cosby; and two grandchildren: Harley Nicole Styles, of Bybee, and Naomi Lee Sprouse, of Newport.
Mrs. Sprouse will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
Funeral service will be Thursday, August 7, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Garvers Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Junior Jenkins officiating.
Interment will follow at Phillips Cemetery.
Mrs. Sprouse will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, August 6, 2003, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Geraldine Jenkins Sprouse.
