Sprouse, age 71, of Harftord, died on Thursday, May 12, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on May 10, 1945. He was of the Baptist fatih and was a member of Garvers Chapel Church. Walter worked in Gatlinburg for 45 years and had his own Blacksmith and Forge Shop at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Ladie Sprouse; wife, Geraldine Jenkins Sprouse; brothers, Gene, Clyde, Paul, Robert, Bud, Elmer and Glenn Sprouse; sisters, Martha Caughorn, and Nellie Ball. He is survived by his brothers, Frank and George Sprouse of Cosby; son, Ricky (Schanell) Sprouse of Hartford; daughter, Delane (David) Styles of Bybee; grandchildren, Harley and Carter Styles of Bybee, Naomi, Ruth and Lilly Sprouse of Hartford; special children, Sicri, Sury, Samay, Ceilo and Anthony; several nieces, nephews, and many other special friends. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ricky Sprouse and Rev. Gary Henderson officiating.
