She crossed over the River Jordan on her way to Heaven April 27, 2013. She was a direct descendent of Fielden and Rebecca Lusk , Absolom and Jemima Lorton Branson, Robert and Judith Joyner Gentry, John and Mary Spears Bunch, Richard and Nancy Harold. Gertrude was a 1942 graduate of Carter High School and a life-long member of Wooddale Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Zack F. Taylor , Sr.; mother, Ruth Ellen Branson Lusk ; father and stepmother, Herbert W. and Cecile Bradley Lusk ; brothers, Ralph Woods Lusk and Arch Edward Lusk ; grandson, Kevin Zackary Taylor and great grandson, Christopher Jordan Czornohus. She is survived by daughters, Ruth Burchfield of Blount County, Mary Braddy (Bernie) of Knox County and son, Zack F. Taylor , Jr. (Wanda) of Jefferson County; grandchildren, Angela Burchfield Detoro (Steve), Cynthia Burchfield Czornohus (Peter), Rhonda Byrd Shoemaker (David), Stephen Wade Burchfield (Kristi) and Joseph Franklin Burchfield; great grandchildren, Andrew Curtis Czornohus, Zachary Taylor Czornohus (Jamie), Bryan Andrew Money, Briana Marie Shoemaker, Cooper Lee Burchfield, Gavin Wade Burchfield and Blake Kennedy Burchfield; great-great grandchildren, Atley Emmet Money and Christine Elizabeth Money. Family will receive friends at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home Tuesday, April 30, 2013, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow. Service to be officiated by Rev. Robert Hobbs. Grandsons and great grandsons to be pallbearers. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Trentville Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
