MOYERS , JOEL E. - 70, of Gatlinburg, passed away Friday, April 16, 1999, at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee in Knoxville after fighting a courageous battle with leukemia. Mr. Moyers was the president of Webb Creek Water Utility, a member of Webb Creek United Methodist Church. He had served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lila Moyers . He is survived by his wife, Blanche Moyers , Gatlinburg; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Kenna Moyers , Dumas, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Joe Culler, Overton, Nev.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Edith Moyers , Paul and Ola Moyers , both of Gatlinburg; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Earl Sexton, Morristown; grandchildren, Joella, Seth, Kayla and Jessy Culler; two nephews and one niece. Service for Mr. Moyers will be 7 p.m. Sunday, April 18, at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Wells officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 19, at Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Food Ministry of Sevier Co. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Rawlings Funeral Home.
