  [S106] The Mountain Press, 2 Dec 2002. Mayford Manis, 88, of Oneida, Tenn., and formerly of Sevier County died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 at Scott County Hospital. His parents were Andy and Nannie McMahan Manis. He was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Eula Boring, Jacqueline Snell, Trudell Snell, Earl Manis, Tomilee Swain, Danny Manis, Chestene Farris and more nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home in Oneida. Interment services will be conducted at Richardsons Cove Cemetery 10 a.m. Monday. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
