CRESWELL, EVELYN WIDNER - 83 of Seymour, passed away on Sat., May 5, 2001, at Holston Health Care Center. She was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church, and was a retired school teacher and former principal in the Sevier County School System. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Creswell; her parents, John & Cora Widner; brothers, Rance, Clifford & Edward Widner; sisters, Ella Franklin & Irene DeLozier.
Survivors include; daughter & son in law, Susie & Bob Ellison; son & daughter in law, George & Joyce Creswell; grandchildren, Stacy Ellison, Bryan Creswell, Brent Creswell & fiancé, Gwen Johnson; sister, Helen Widner Smith; brother & sister in law, Joe & Lily Widner; brother in law, George DeLozier; & several nieces & nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation of the loving care given to Evelyn by her caregivers, Grace Hicks and Dorothy Berrier. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sun. May 6, 2001, at Highland South Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Mon. May 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Highland South Cemetery, with Rev. David Lovelace officiating.
