- Circa 1847, James H. Coker and his wife Elizabeth Oakley migrated to Yancey
County, North Carolina. Following the birth of James W. H. Coker there, they
returned to Knox County, Tennessee before 1850. They appeared in the 1850
Federal Census.
Circa 1852, James H. Coker and his wife Elizabeth Oakley went to the White Oak
Flats community (now Gatlinburg), Sevier County, Tennessee and appeared in the
1860 Federal Census of Sevier County, Tennessee.
James H. Coker and his wife Elizabeth Oakley moved for the last time to
Anderson County, Tennessee from Sevier County, Tennessee prior to the 1870
Federal Census.
