R H Newman, age 72 of Sevierville went to be with Jesus Saturday January 28, 2017.
He was retired from Ford Motor Company in Ohio and attended Pathways Church in Sevierville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mary Bell Newman, brothers, Buford and Ronald Newman, sister, Barbara Adams.

Wife of 50 years: Wanda Piguet Newman
Sons: RH Newman, Jr, Ryan H. Newman and wife Cassie, Richard H. Newman and wife Meghann
Daughter: Rhonda H. Newman Thornton and husband Keith
Grandchildren: Rachel and Byan Anderson, Robbin Newman, Keeley Thornton and fiancé Nathan Hays, Kaeley and Korrey Thornton, Carly and Camryn Newman, Caleb Hughes, Conner Nottage, Maddy, Cooper and Emmy Newman, Cody and Sterhan Dufrene
Great Granddaughter: Vivien Anderson

The family will receive friends from 4-6:45 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Pastor Brent Freeman and Pastor Tony Sutton officiating.
