OWNBY, MAUDE KING, - 89, of Pigeon Forge died Wed. June 14, 2000 at Sevier County Health Care Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge. She was preceded in death by husband, Loy Ownby; son, R.L. Ownby; infant twin daughters, Bonnie Sue & Betty Lou.
Survivors: daughters & sons-in-law, Stella & Woots Johnson, Louise & W.C. Large, Eula & Rex Nichols, Mary Jean & Paul Thomas; sons & daughters-in-law, Mayford & Avanell Ownby, Rex & Cynthia Ownby; grandchildren, Greg Nichols, Ginger Whaley, Kim McMahan, Kathy McDowell, Eugene Thomas, Lisa Ownby, Becky Williams, Mary Hamilton; great grandchildren, Tanner & Grant Nichols, Paige & Brooke Whaley, Hannah & Charlie Hamilton, Haven McDowell; sister, Trula Huskey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mayford King, Clell & Betty Jean King. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Fri. in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Cook and Rev. John Shepard officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Fri. at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.

Maude King Ownby, 89, of Pigeon Forge died Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at Sevier County Health Care Center.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge. She was preceded in death by husband, Loy Ownby, son, R.L. Ownby, and infant twin daughters, Bonnie Sue and Betty Lou.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Stella and Woots Johnson, Louise and W.C. Large, Eula and Rex Nichols and Mary Jean and Paul Thomas; sons and daughters-in-law, Mayford and Avanell Ownby, Rex and Cynthia Ownby; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Trula Huskey; brothers and sister-in-law, Mayford King and Clell and Betty Jean King.
Funeral service was 7:30 p.m. Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Cook and the Rev. John Shephard officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
