November 28, 1925 - October 18, 2013 Resided in Sevierville, TN God called his soldier, James "Frits" Morton, age 87 of Pigeon Forge, home on Friday, October 18, 2013. Mr. Morton was a member of Glades Lebanon Baptist Church. He was a World War II infantry veteran. He served his country and was wounded on the Siegfried Line on March 17, 1945. He was an avid blue grass fan and his favorite singer was Bill Monroe. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nell Stinnett Morton, parents Verless and Cora Ownby Morton, daughter Sheila Webber McGill, grandson Mark Webber, brothers Verless (June) Morton, Jr., Bill Morton, Henry Morton, and Gary Morton, sisters Jane Noland, Betty Townsend, and Rosella Ownby, and son-in-law Harold Webber. Survivors Son and Daughter in Law: Mike and Linda Morton Daughters and Sons in Law: Sharon and DJ Kirby, Kandy and Tim Futch Grandchildren: Heather Barnett and husband Henry, Ryan Souza, Chelsa Souza, Emily Smith and husband Casey, Jamie Morton, Shawna Bently, Rick Kirby and wife Rachel, Brian Webber and wife Sheila, Paula Walley, Amy Davis and Brad McDonald, Taylor Jordan, Sarek Futch, and 27 very special great-grandchildren Brothers: Clell Morton and Tom Morton Sister: Augusta Whaley Special Friends: Joan and Jerry at Alewine Pottery Special Thanks: to all the Pigeon Forge Kroger Staff for making his Wednesday's special, Miss Wanda at the Salvation Army for always making him smile.
