SEVIERVILLE—Blaine S. Byrd, 71, of Sevierville, passed away Monday, May 7, 2001, at Ft. Sanders Sevier Medical Center.
His wife, Ruby Sutton Byrd; parents, John Newton and Josie Fox Byrd; sisters, Claice Layman, Blanche Layman and Lexie Byrd, preceded Mr. Byrd in death.
Blaine is survived by his children and spouses, Billy and Rosanne Byrd, of Sevierville, Ronald Keith Byrd, of Sevierville, Charlotte and Steve Hill, of Chestnut Hill, Lois and Clettes Dockery, of Chestnut Hill, Jimmy and Holly Byrd, of Sevierville, and Sandra Kay Byrd, of Sevierville; grandchildren, Kim Smith, Liz Byrd, John Byrd, Bo Hill, Lucas Hill, Lori Dockery, Chris Dockery, Becky McCarter, Jolene Byrd, Jonah Byrd, Dustin Herrington, and Weston Herrington; eight great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Francis Byrd, of Parrottsville, Calving and Iris Byrd, of Chestnut Hill; sister, Agnes Byrd, of Sevierville; several nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.
Service will be 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with Rev. Curtis Wells officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m., Thursday, May 10, at Burchfield Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, at Rawlings Funeral Home.

Blaine S. Byrd, 71, of Sevierville, died Monday, May 7, 2001 at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Sutton Byrd and three sisters. Service was Wednesday at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Wells officiating. Interment is 10 a.m. Thursday at Burchfield Memorial Cemetery.
