MYERS, CECIL R. - age 97, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2000. A member of Stonewall Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Rev. George Walter Myers; sons, James Paul Myers Sr. and Dr. Roy T. Myers Sr.; grandsons, Roy T. Myers Jr. and Robert J. Lovin; sisters, Estell Lakin and Maggie McGinnis; brothers, Marion Odell and Raymond Odell.
Survived by daughter, Delphine S. Lovin; daughters-in-law, Ruby Myers and Juanita Myers; grandchildren, Anna Hulen, Helen Wrinkle, Doris Jean Bishop, Rev. Jimmy Myers, David Myers, Joyce McCarter, Beverly Sawyer and Rev. Eddie Myers; several great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral service 8 p.m. Thursday, Mynatt's Chapel, Rev. Clyde Lakin and Rev. Vonzell Whetsell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt's by 10:30 a.m. Friday and proceed to U.S. National Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment service. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Mynatt's.
