U.S. Veteran Donald “Frank” Wilburn, age 70, of Sweetwater, formerly of Blount County, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Wood Presbyterian Nursing Home in Sweetwater. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Louisville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam Era with a total of 16 years of military service. He was an animal lover and he also loved country music and playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lora Wilburn; father, Charles Wilburn; step mother, Mildred Wilburn; and brother, Herbert Wilburn. Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Wilburn; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary J. and Charles Parrott of Maryville, Carol and Greg Carver of Georgia, and Phyllis Jones of South Carolina; 6 grandchildren; special great-granddaughter, Kayla Parrott; two great-grandsons; brother, Raymond Wilburn of Murfreesboro, TN; and several nieces. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2006 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, (3359 Louisville Road, Louisville, TN 37777), Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Louisville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
