omer Densil Whitted, 68, of Cosby, went to be with his Lord Sunday, August 15, 2004, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a construction worker and a member of Howards View Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry Oscar and Loma (Justus) Whitted; brothers, Gene Whitted, James Kenneth (Red) Whitted, Wilbur Whitted, and Sammie Dean Whitted.
Homer is survived by his wife, Juanita (Denton) Whitted, of Cosby; daughters, Louise Garver, of Cosby; Doris Fancher and her husband, Robert, of Cosby; and Adena Parton, of Cosby; son, Willie Garver and his wife, Toni, of Cosby; sister, Irene Lilly, of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Tom Whitted and his wife, Nadine, of Gatlinburg; Ben Whitted and his wife, Carlena, of Sevierville; Dewayne Whitted and his wife, Ethel, of Mich.; Rex Whitted and his wife, Deloris, of Colorado Springs; and P.O. Whitted and his wife, Dorothy, of La.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Whitted will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, August 18, 2004, at 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Whitted officiating.
Graveside service will be Thursday, August 19, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Denton Cemetery in Cosby.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 18, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home prior to the service.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. Homer Densil Whitted.
