Alvin Mitchell Ogle, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2015. He was a member of Oldham's Creek Baptist Church, and he was retired from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Mr. Ogle was a World War II Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dewey and Mollie Ogle; brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Alma Ogle; sister and brother-in-law, Mattie and Tate Myers; brother-in-law, Royal Esco Trent; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Ruth Wilson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Howard and Vera Wilson, Irene and Rev. Jack Bailey, Ruby Trentham, Kate Wilson, Shirley Shults, Eula Wilson, and Alvin Ray.
Mr. Ogle is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mrs. Sue Ogle; sister, Nelma Trent; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Clarence Wilson, Christine Shults, Earl and Hazel Wilson, Dee Wilson, and Linda Ray; several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday at Oldham's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Beck and Rev. Billy Ogle officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with military honors provided by American Legion Post 104. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 PM Monday, October 5th at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
