Mr. Brackins had previously served on the Sevier County Commission. He was currently serving his 25th year on the Pigeon Forge City Commission. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge and was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Parlie Brackins, infant brother Doyle Brackins, brothers Dee and Eugene Brackins. Survivors: Wife: Joyce Breeden Brackins Children: Sandy Delozier Frances Rudder and husband Rick Denise Allen and husband Steve Woody Brackins, Jr. and wife Liz Grandchildren: Carrie and Matt Rudder Cody Allen Grady Brackins Brothers: Donald, Luther, Ted, and David Brackins Sisters: Erma Smelcer Jo Richardson Phyllis Suttles Several nieces and nephews Many friends. Funeral service 2 PM Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. W.W. Cope and Rev. Wayne Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Pigeon Forge City Manager Earlene Teaster, Pigeon Forge City Commissioners Ralph Chance, Bill Maples, English McCarter and Howard Sexton. The family will receive friends 5-9 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
