Polhemus, wife attend exhibit
Sevierville resident Richard Polhemus and his wife Sally recently attended a special preview at the High Museum in Atlanta of the Dutch Masterpieces, exhibit featuring Johannes Vermeer’s “The Girl with a Pearl Earring.”
The event was sponsored by the Holland Society of New York and the High Museum. It was attended by the organization’s president, Charles Zabriskie Jr.; and Henry Staats, president of the Old South Branch, Holland Society of New York; as well as Holland Society members from the Southeast.
Richard Polhemus is a lifetime member of the Holland Society of New York.
The exhibit at the High Museum includes 35 paintings from the Dutch Golden Age from the Mauritshuis, The Hague. The exhibit will be at the High Museum through Sept. 29.
