She was of the Baptist faith, a loving wife, a friend of many, and loved her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Fanny Jo McCarter, brothers Ted and Van McCarter, sister Shirley Carr, brother-in-law Jerry Carr, and sister-in-law Carol McCarter. Survivors: Husband: John B. Carr Sister-in-law: Yvonne McCarter And a host of nieces, nephews and friends Funeral service 2 PM Monday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel in Pigeon Forge with Rev. Bill Maples officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
