Virginia Pauline Householder, age 91 of Pigeon Forge, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Born on February 16, 1917, she was the oldest member of First United Methodist Church, Pigeon Forge, having been a member for 79 years. Pauline was a well respected local artist and retired Sevier County educator, with most of her teaching years at the Pigeon Forge school. She was a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, the Sevier County Retired Teachers Association, and other local art associations.
She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Myrtle Butler Householder, brother-in-law Paul Afton Johnson, and nephew Paul Afton Johnson, Jr.
Survivors include her sister Marjorie Andri Johnson of Maryville, many other family and friends, and her devoted, loving caregiver Carol Burchfield. The family appreciates the care also provided by Jenny, Donna, and Kristi.
Pallbearers will be James A. Householder, Jack B. Henry, G. W. “Dub” McIntosh, Jerry McCarter, Benny Dalton, and Don Story.

Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Barton officiating and a special remembrance by Benny Dalton. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Friday in Pigeon Forge Cemetery for graveside service and interment. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
