He was preceded in death by his parents, Rulin and Ethel Banks. He is survived by his wife, Connie Swann Banks, of Dandridge; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steve Miller, of Newport; step-son and his wife, Heath and Angie Alvey, of Dandridge; brothers, Roger Banks and Ronnie Banks, both of Newport, and Bobby Banks, of Dandridge; sisters, Thelma Lee, of Newport, and Betty Wise, of Dandridge; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 2 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Peggy Moore and Rev. Samuel (Vet) Parker officiating, with burial in Hills Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., Friday, at Manes Funeral Home. Manes is in charge.
