December 22, 1947 - March 30, 2015 Resided in Sevierville, TN Michael "Mike" James A. Ogle, age 67, of Sevierville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2015 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of Banner Baptist Church. Mike enjoyed music, woodcarving and hiking. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver R. Ogle; mother, Cecil Ownby Ogle; sisters, Vera O. Wilson, and Grace O. Benson; brother, Merle R. Ogle; sister-in-law, Janice Ogle; brothers-in-law, Howard Wilson, Ken Jackson, Ed Maples, and Craig Benson. Mike is survived by his brother, Von Ogle; sisters, Janavee O. Ownby and husband, James Lum, Bess O. Jackson, Zelma O. Maples, and Zella Ogle; nieces and nephews, Larry, Brenda, Jerry, Bobby, Billy Lowell, Eugene, Jimmy, David, Veta, Hal, Darrell, Kevin, Dwayne, David, Relda, Jody, Dr. Craig "Chris" Benson, and special nieces and nephews, Dan, Penny, Pattie, and Paul; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation to Mike's caregivers and sisters, Zelma and Zella. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville with Rev. Lowell Wilson and Rev. Jerry Ogle officiating and Larry Ogle giving the eulogy. Family and friends will meet 11 AM Friday at Proffitt Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Mike's nephews serving as pallbearers.
