Hill, (Jack) Leonidas C., age 81, passed away at home on Thursday, June 11, 2009. He was born in the Muddy Creek community of Jefferson County, TN on February 8, 1928 to Senator L. C. Hill and Josie Fox Hill. After the early passing of his parents, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Mabel and Art Burchfiel. Following graduation from Knoxville High School, he served in the United States Army, spending part of his time in Beppu, Japan as a motor pool driver. Upon completing his military service, he attended the University of Tennessee. A lifelong passion for automobiles led to a 40+ year career as a car salesman. Married on October 16, 1970, Jack was a wonderful husband and loving father. He was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church. Some of his hobbies included art, golf, Nascar, and UT football. He loved spending time with his family and friends, old and new. His love and kindness will not be forgotten. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Herbert Hill, sisters Lillian Webb and Ruth Norton, and nephew Ed Hill. Survivors He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joan Ogle Hill, sons Jack and Jason, sister Frances Hill, nephew John and Barbara Hill, great-nephew Andy Hill, niece Barbara and Tom Boots, and great-niece Rachel Boots. Service In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Colonial Heights United Methodist Church, 6321 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, June 14, 2009 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev.
