King, age 77 of Gatlinburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 while at the home of his son Keith. Mr. King served as a City Commissioner of Gatlinburg for 10 years and was owner of McCutchan’s Candies in Gatlinburg for many years. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Lula King; brother, A.J. King; sister, Thelma, Lee, Faye, Rhonda, Blanch and Mae. Survivors include his Wife of 56 years, Loretta Whaley King; Sons, Byron Keith King and wife Maria, Eric J. King and wife Shannon, B. Clark King and wife Kay; Grandchildren, Hannah, Will, Kayla, Quinton and Carson; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud King, Melvin King and wife Daisy, Glenn King and wife Sherry, Loraine King; Many nieces and nephews including special nephew Stephen King; and nieces, Phylis Gorman and husband LB, Deborah Beck and husband Charles; In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Needs Wing of Sevier County Health Care Center. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Interment will be in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
