Arbutis Mellinger McFall, age 83, born on July 23, 1924, died at home on Sunday evening, March 16, 2007 after an extended illness. She resided in Rockford, and was formerly of Sevier County. She retired from Rockford Elementary School Cafeteria with 23 years of service. She was known for baking bread and rolls. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Frances Ogle Mellinger; sister, Lou Mellinger Myers; and brothers, Noah, Evert, Leonard, Anas, and Bluford Mellinger. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold Roy McFall. They were married on September 5, 1944. She is also survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dale McFall of Rockford, Eddie McFall of Sevierville, Carl and Brenda McFall of Monroe, Georgia, and Roy and Joyce McFall of Rockford; daughter and son-in-law JoAnn and Rick Love of Athens, Tennessee; grandchildren, Benjamin McFall, Caryn McFall, Wendie Love-Carter; Todd Love, Allan McFall, Daniel McFall, Adam McFall, and James Christopher McFall; great-grandchildren, Mia McFall, Raylea McFall, and Levi Love; and a host of other relatives, neighbors, and special friends. Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery, Mr. Lester Allmon officiating. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
